Recorded Account
Battalion coin for the 519th Military Intelligence Battalion (2014)- THUNDER! A subordinate battalion under the 525th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. This battalion was composed of a Headquarters Company, 3x Intelligence companies composed of multiple intelligence disciplines, and the Long Range Surveillance Company (LRSC)- XVIII Airborne Corps' long range reconnaissance unit. Commanded by then LTC Josh Fulmer- this unit was highly disciplined and integral to the Corps' intelligence readiness. Serving as the BN S3 in 519th in 2014, I remember readiness exercises at the unit level to ensure we were ready to respond to crisis. I benefitted from the mentorship and professionalism of my commander- COL (Ret.) Josh Fulmer is the epitome of an Army officer- competent, professional, innovative, trusted, and lethal.
