This coin is the commander's coin for the 519th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Battalion, a subordinate battalion under the 525th Expeditionary MI Brigade stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. I received this coin from my friend and 519th MI BN commander, LTC Krystal Sessoms (now COL Sessoms, commanding the 201st E-MI BDE at JBLM, Washington). In 2020, her battalion was supporting the DEFENDER exercise in Europe and visited me while I was commanding the 2d MI Battalion in Wiesbaden, Germany (home us US Army Europe and 7th Army, now USAREUR-AF). Krystal and I served as Field Grade Officers together in the 519th and 525 between 2014 and 2016.
