I toured the USS New Hampshire at Norfolk Navy Yard as part of "Navy Day" at the National War College in the Spring of 2022. The sub tour was incredible- impressed with the professionalism and technical know-how of the crew that were on board and showed us the sub. Not a lot of space! Not like the movies at all. Just like the tanks and bradleys I grew up on in the Army- subs are built for one purpose. Human comfort is not primary. The New Hampshire is a Virginia class attack submarine.
