This is the BDE Commander coin for the mighty 513th Military Intelligence Brigade- Theater (CENTCOM). Stationed at Fort Gordon, Georgia, Shaw Air Force Base, SC, and across the Middle East- this unit is responsible for all intelligence for US Army Central and 3rd Army- covering the entire Middle East. Since 2001 and now during the height of Operation EPIC FURY (Iran)- this BDE has been fully engaged in identifying threats across the CENTCOM region and is actively committed in supporting the warfighter across several fronts- from Israel to Jordan and KSA and beyond. This unit trains and provides the intelligence professionals across the force to ensure Soldiers are protected and actively pursuing threats across all domains. I received this coin from my friend and Brigade Commander, COL Sapriya McLendon.
